Activities

Key facts

  • Keddington and Whisby are currently producing; Brockham and Lidsey are shut in pending wells being drilled in H1 2017.
  • Dukes Wood, discovered in 1939, was the first oil field developed in the UK.
  • The Whisby-6 well was successfully drilled in 2016 and encountered a good oil-saturated basal sandstone with initial production of 168 barrels of oil per day (of which Terrain receives 85% until it has recovered its drilling costs, reducing to 62.5% until 250,000 barrels in total have been produced, after which it drops to 50%).
  • Two exploration wells at Lidsey and Louth and one development sidetrack at Brockham are planned during 2017.

One exploration well at Woodburn, Larne and two development sidetracks at Keddington and Brockham are planned during 2015:

  • The Larne licence in located in the Larne-Lough Neagh Basin, onshore Northern Ireland. The Woodburn well will target some 20 million barrels of oil resources at each of three levels and is scheduled to be drilled in the 4th quarter 2015 due to environmental restrictions preventing operations between March and August.
  • The Keddington sidetrack will target a reservoir level which is not being produced by the current wells. The sidetrack is likely to be drilled in the 3rd quarter 2015.
  • The Brockham sidetrack is planned to access attic oil in the field.
